Construction: Twisted Clapton wire typically starts with two or more strands of wire that are twisted together. This twisted strand then becomes the core wire, which is subsequently wrapped with a thinner gauge wire, similar to a standard Clapton coil.
Material: Commonly made from Kanthal A1 (KA1), Ni80, or Stainless Steel (SS316L). The material will determine whether it can be used in temperature control (TC) mode (SS316L) or only wattage mode (KA1, Ni80). Ni80 offers faster ramp-up time, while Kanthal is known for its ease of use.

Gauge Options: The gauge is usually described with multiple numbers indicating the core wires and the wrapping wire (e.g., (26GA x 2) + 32GA). This means two strands of 26 gauge wire are twisted together as the core, and then wrapped with 32 gauge wire.

Twisted Clapton wire is compatible with any rebuildable atomizer (RDA, RTA, RDTA) that has a build deck capable of accommodating the coils built with this wire. The size of the build deck and the post hole diameters are important considerations due to the potentially thicker nature of Clapton-style wires.
