Skitch Skate Team Sponsorship

We review demo reels year-round and announce new team additions annually on December 1st.

Core Values & Expectations

Character and integrity take priority over skill level. We look for individuals who are honest, respectful, and dedicated to supporting the skateboarding community. Disrespectful or dishonest behavior will result in disqualification.

Sponsorship Levels

1. Shop Supported Level

Entry-level tier for new team members, out-of-town skaters, or those building their social media presence.

  • Requirements: Submit photos and video footage for Skitch promotional campaigns. Feature Skitch apparel and equipment in social media content, local competitions, and public skate parks.

  • Benefits: Discounted Skitch merchandise, apparel, skateboards, and hardware.

  • Purpose: Establishes an initial partnership and integrates you into the Skitch network.

2. Shop Flowed Level

Intermediate tier for skaters demonstrating consistent commitment to the brand and community.

  • Requirements: Grant Skitch image marketing rights. Represent the shop at local and regional events, competitions, and skate parks while maintaining active social media promotion.

  • Benefits: Higher discounts on shop gear, free hardware, equipment, and Skitch apparel. Coverage of travel, accommodation, and living expenses for select out-of-town events.

  • Purpose: Expands brand reach while providing direct logistical and financial support for active skaters.

3. Flowed by Shop & DC Skateboarding

Top tier reserved for dedicated riders representing Skitch and partner brand DC Skateboarding.

  • Requirements: Provide media content for social channels, participate in team skate sessions and official video projects, and attend shop events. Exclusively represent Skitch and DC Skateboarding at competitions and public appearances.

  • Benefits: Steep shop discounts, official "Flowed" apparel, free hardware, and product support from DC Skateboarding. Full travel, accommodation, and stipend coverage for official out-of-town events.

  • Purpose: Provides high-level support for elite team riders driving brand exposure.

Qualification Criteria

  • Active Instagram Account: Consistent posts documenting your skateboarding progression are mandatory.

  • Brand Promotion: Regular tagging and promotion of Skitch Skate Shop and partner brands (e.g., DC Skateboarding) in exchange for gear and sponsorship support.

  • Community Focus: We direct marketing resources into supporting individual skaters rather than traditional ad platforms.

Application Steps

  1. Send a direct message to our official Instagram account.

  2. Include a "Sponsor Me" video (minimum 2 minutes in duration).

  3. Ensure your profile is public and contains recent skateboarding content.

Sponsorship & Legal Guidelines

  • Exclusivity: Riders represent Skitch as their sole skate shop sponsor. You may not represent or claim sponsorship from any other skate shop.

  • Brand Clarification: Gear received from third-party manufacturers through Skitch does not constitute a direct brand sponsorship. For example, product support from DC Shoes must be credited publicly as "Flowed by @dcshoes", while your official team status remains strictly with Skitch.
